Infinix GT 50 Pro Review: Is the ₹69,999 Gaming Phone Worth It?

Our Infinix GT 50 Pro review verdict: it is a well-equipped gaming phone, but at ₹69,999 it costs nearly three times what the GT 30 Pro launched at, so it only makes sense if you want the bundled gaming kit. This review is based on Infinix’s official specifications and launch details; we have not tested the phone in hand, so we don’t rate real-world battery life, thermals or camera quality.
| Verdict | Strong gaming hardware, hard-to-justify price for most buyers |
| Best for | Mobile gamers who will actually use the controller, dock and cooler |
| Price in India | ₹69,999 (12GB + 256GB) at the time of writing |
| Provisional rating | 6.5/10 (spec-based, not tested in hand) |

Infinix GT 50 Pro price in India and launch offers
The Infinix GT 50 Pro launched in India in late October 2026 in a single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version priced at ₹69,999, with sales from 30 October on Flipkart and Infinix’s online store, according to launch reports. Infinix’s global spec sheet also lists a 512GB version, but we found no confirmed India price for it.
Early buyers reportedly get a gaming bundle that Infinix values at ₹24,999: the GT NX Controller, the GT NX Station dock, a GT cooling fan that also charges, and a magnetic cover. Reports also mention a ₹5,000 instant discount on some bank cards and a JioGames Pro pass for ₹1. Offers change quickly, so check the terms on the product page before you pay.

Design and build
At 8.15mm and 198g, the GT 50 Pro is slim for a phone with a 6,500mAh battery and a liquid-cooling system. Infinix lists three colours globally (Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier); India launch reports mention Black Abyss and Red Blaze. The IP64 rating covers dust and splashes, not dunking, which is a step below the IP68/IP69 ratings many phones at this price now carry.
Display
On paper, the screen is the highlight. A 1.5K AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 330Hz touch sampling (2,800Hz instant) and 2,304Hz PWM dimming covers what gamers and people sensitive to flicker usually look for. The 4,500-nit figure is a peak number for small highlights; the 1,600-nit high-brightness mode is the more useful number for outdoor use.
Performance and gaming features
The Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is an upper-mid-range chip with all eight cores built on Arm’s Cortex-A725 design. It is fast for gaming and daily use, but it is not a flagship-tier chip, and that is the core problem with this price. Infinix adds a self-developed N1 network chip it says improves weak-signal performance, HydroFlow liquid cooling and shoulder-style GT Triggers that respond to pressure. These are useful extras, but how well the cooling holds frame rates over long sessions can only be judged in testing.
Cameras
The camera setup is basic for the money: a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto. The main camera can record 4K at 60fps. Expect it to be fine for social media; buyers who care about zoom or low-light photos should compare camera-focused phones at a similar price.
Battery and charging
A 6,500mAh battery is generous, and 30W wireless charging is rare in gaming phones. The 45W wired speed is modest by 2026 standards, so a full charge will take longer than on rivals that offer 80W or more. Reverse charging (10W wired, 5W wireless) can top up earbuds or the controller.
Software and updates
The phone runs XOS 16 on Android 16. Infinix’s product page advertises “5-Year Software Updates” with an asterisk, so check whether that means Android version upgrades, security patches or both before relying on it. Long update support matters more than ever, as the recent Android SMS of Death bug shows: phones that stop getting patches stay exposed.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Bright 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED with high-frequency PWM dimming | ₹69,999 is about 2.8x the GT 30 Pro’s ₹24,999 launch price |
| 6,500mAh battery with 30W wireless charging | Upper-mid-range chip at a flagship-class price |
| Pressure-sensitive triggers and liquid cooling | Only IP64; no telephoto camera |
| Gaming bundle with controller, dock and cooler (launch offer) | 45W wired charging is slow for 2026 |
| 5-year software update promise (check terms) | Not yet independently tested by us |

Alternatives to consider
Before you buy, compare current prices of phones with flagship-tier Snapdragon or Dimensity chips in the same band, and read our vivo V80 review if cameras matter more than gaming. If you mainly want value, older gaming phones or last year’s flagships on sale often deliver similar frame rates for less; our OnePlus 12 vs 13 comparison shows how much last-generation flagships still offer.

Bottom line
The Infinix GT 50 Pro has the right gaming features, a strong display and a big battery, and the launch bundle adds real value if you’ll use it. But at ₹69,999 it competes with phones that have faster chips, better cameras and stronger water resistance. Buy it for the gaming ecosystem, not for raw value, and wait for independent thermal tests if sustained performance is your priority.
