Google announced the Google Dreambeans India launch on 3 November 2026: it is available on Android and iPhone for anyone aged 18 or over with a personal Google account, and works across 14 languages.

What is Google Dreambeans?
Dreambeans is a personal “story feed” rather than a social feed. Google describes it as designed to connect you with what matters “without the endless scroll”. Each morning you get a small collection of stories, and each one is illustrated with AI-generated artwork.

According to Google Labs, stories might suggest places to visit, topics to explore, things to try or local events. Some stories include one-tap actions, such as “See Ticket” or “Watch Trailer”. You can open any story for more detail, bookmark it for later or share it with others.
The app works overnight: it looks across your connected apps for relevant content and delivers the new set in the morning. Your very first set can take up to a day to prepare, and the app sends an in-app notification when it is ready.

Which Google apps can Dreambeans use?
Dreambeans only reads the apps you connect, and you must connect at least one. The options listed by Google Labs are:
- Gemini
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Google Photos
- YouTube
- Google Search
You can use any combination and change it later in the app’s settings. If you want stories to feature you and people you know, Google Photos face grouping must be turned on; if you don’t want that, simply leave it off.
How to set up Dreambeans in India
Setting up the app takes a few minutes. The exact screen names may change because this is an experimental app.

- Install Dreambeans from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). The listing is called “Dreambeans by Google Labs”; check the developer details show Google LLC before installing.
- Open the app and sign in with your personal Google account.
- Set up your profile when the app asks you to.
- Choose at least one Google app to connect, such as Calendar or YouTube. Start with fewer apps if you are unsure.
- Wait for your first story set. It can take up to a day; you’ll get an in-app notification.
- Use the feedback tools — thumbs-down, the sparkle “tune” button or “Not for me” — to shape future stories. Feedback is applied overnight.
Privacy: what to know before you connect Gmail
Dreambeans is useful only because it reads personal data, so it is worth deciding what to share. According to Google, stories are built only from the apps you select, and you can disconnect them at any time.
- Delete your data: the profile has a “Delete my data” option, and you can review or delete individual feedback.
- Separate settings: changes in Dreambeans don’t affect your Personal Intelligence choices in the Gemini app or AI Mode.
- Accuracy: Google warns the experimental app may show irrelevant stories or inaccurate visuals — double-check dates, prices and event details before you act.
- Shared phones: if family members use your phone, think twice before connecting Gmail or Photos.

Is Dreambeans worth trying?
Dreambeans looks like a good fit if you already live inside Google’s apps and like discovering things to do nearby. Getting stories in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali or another Indian language could be the stand-out feature for Indian users.
It is less suited to anyone who doesn’t want an app reading their email or photos, and it is still an experiment, so features can change or be withdrawn.
